Well done IU! With Coach Allen at the helm, you should be able to extend your lead over Northwestern and Rutgers over the next couple of years.

Because they combined Indinia's losses with Indiana's.Why would that surprise anybody?
To be fair, Rutger suffered most of those losses before they joined the B1G, and Indiana is barely a B1G team.Big Ten represent. Worst 3 lol. I guess I didn’t realize Kansas State was historically bad. Seems within the past 20 years or so they’ve had several seasons of some good teams
Kansas state was the worst program until Snyder took over. He worked miracles there.Big Ten represent. Worst 3 lol. I guess I didn’t realize Kansas State was historically bad. Seems within the past 20 years or so they’ve had several seasons of some good teams
Or better yet, where’s @HoosierTim ???Where's IUHDog for rebuttal?
I've largely stayed out of these indinia threads but will jump in to correct you here. From Wikipedia it appears that the majority of iu's losses have come since 1971(or if you prefer, after WWII AND even the Korean War). In fact the iu "winning" percentage since 1971(39%) is lower than that for all seasons(42%). FYI, their Big Ten Conference winning percentage in that same time frame is about 30%.Most of those losses happened before World War 2.

Most of those losses happened before World War 2.
In other words, they can blame the "military industrial complex"...But ALL happened before World War 3
Why would I offer up a rebuttal on something that is true?Where's IUHDog for rebuttal?

But it's interesting to me that history counts when it comes to football but it is irrelevant when it comes to success in basketball.
And I can't understand why you would call me out. I have never been one to disagree with facts.
But it's all good. Merry Christmas. Kick Rocky Top Ass!
This is why IU fans/grads have a rep for not quite "getting it".
It's not the "history counts when it comes to football but it is irrelevant when it comes to success in basketball." History is what it is. And IU football history is ABYSMAL. The "losing-est" program in CFB.
Now, on the basketball. You IU fans want to yell, "Banners!", whenever the conversation comes up about the two programs. However, you refuse to acknowledge the head-to-head records, AND, you refuse to acknowledge how dusty and moth-riddled those banners are. In other words, it's ancient history.
I don't necessarily expect this to resonate with you, but it is an effort to help you with the "history" part.
Merry Christmas to you, as well, and thanks for your support vs. TN!
Many people are not going to get that joke relative to IU.Most of those losses happened before World War 2.
It will surprise the hell out of all the band wagon IU fans that just started following the Hoosiers because of their Covid anomaly based success last season. They were convinced they were going to be the Big Ten's big Dog after that fluke of a season. Most of them have no idea that they are historically the worst College Football program in the history of the sport. Why would that surprise anybody?
Most of us realize how bad IU Football is historically. Why would you blame us, knowing that fact, for being elated over a wonderfully successful season regardless of the circumstances? It will surprise the hell out of all the band wagon IU fans that just started following the Hoosiers because of their Covid anomaly based success last season. Pretty good answer. Most of us realize how bad IU Football is historically. Why would you blame us, knowing that fact, for being elated over a wonderfully successful season regardless of the circumstances?
Peace. Merry Christmas.
I'll attempt to answer, within the spirit of the Christmas season. Most of us realize how bad IU Football is historically. Why would you blame us, knowing that fact, for being elated over a wonderfully successful season regardless of the circumstances?

My experience with IU fans has been much different but in the spirit of the season I will simply wish you a very Merry Christmas. Most of us realize how bad IU Football is historically. Well, Rutgers did have that epic 6-4 win over Princeton back in 1869 that started it all. So, we can at least say they've been playing a long time--longer than many other colleges and universities have even been in existence. To be fair, Rutger suffered most of those losses before they joined the B1G, and Indiana is barely a B1G team.
