I think Iowa is more balanced and deeper. I'm not sure this has any impact on the outcome though. I see Iowa's key to victory as pressure on the QB. But I also see an improved offensive line for Purdue.
I think the best teams in the B1G, as of today, are as I stated above. I was not surprised to see Purdue win yesterday, and wasn't even surprised by the score.
All in all, a very, very interesting finish to the B1G season. And I'll be in WL in two weeks, as I am every other year. Albeit a slightly more expensive ticket this year. And not surprisingly, my tix for next week at PSU have come down in cost.
I think what you did for that kid with cancer is one of the many reasons I truly love the college football game. I don't care who you root for, if watching that last night didn't tear you up, you're not human.
Good luck. I'll be back throughout the next couple of weeks to bring a more detailed breakdown. In a nutshell, this is not a good match up for Iowa's defense. We've gotten some surprisingly good play out of our cornerbacks this season, but pre-season, this is where we though we had no depth. That hasn't changed dramatically, although it has changed. same can be said at linebacker. So while we are pleasantly surprised at both position groups, it would be foolish to not think what existed pre-season, still doesn't exist today.
