Just noticed as I was looking at the conference records for both divisions that the B10 East is 16-16 overall and the B10 West is 15-15. This means that the two divisions are even in crossover games almost halfway through the conference schedule. Wondering which division is truly stronger this year.

Iowa fan here. Really excited for two weeks. I’m hoping Iowa can get passed Penn State next week at their place. I think Iowa is the better team right now but I also find it hard to see Penn State dropping 3 straight at home as a ranked team. Hawks are guna have to play well.

If Iowa does get by it’ll set up a huge matchup for the West in two weeks. Iowa’s Defense is playing really well and our dline is fantastic and deep. Linebackers have played well and safeties are talented. Young corners. True freshmen starting their with some injuries although I think Brent’s would start either way back there. But your receivers especially Moore are something else. You guys can put up points. Iowa’s offense has a passing game for once so I think it’ll be an interesting game.

Congrats on the big win last night! Screw Ohio State!

I believe you have several strong teams in Iowa, UW NW and Purdue in the west and PSU, OSU, MSU, and mich in the east. Maryland isn't bad. Who is better? It all depends on the matchups. Despite Purdue's victory this weekend, I believe we can probably agree if Purdue were to meet OSU in a rematch, the outcome would be different.

You guys are the only team remaining who can beat us if we keep this up. If we play our best and so do our opponents, I could picture a 31-30 loss to Iowa and Purdue coming in at 8-4.

I think Iowa is a better "team", but I think Iowa could easily lose to Purdue. You guys are getting to the point where you understand how I can say this. College football can be fairly painful if you follow your team closely.

Should be a good one. Hope Iowa can get by penn State! Purdue is all Iowa fans biggest concern and that was mine even before last night. Back to back road trips these next two weeks for Iowa will be real tough

Just wanted to always note that the reason I respect Iowa fans more than any other big ten opponent is that you guys understand how hard it is to win 8 games in the B1G and if ferentz does that consistently nobody starts acting like he needs to take the next step or the sky is falling

Oh for sure. I’ve learned to live with 8-4 and expect a 10-2 or better sprinkled in there every once in awhile. Iowa is known for being 7-5 to 9-3 with a couple losses they shouldn’t have and a win or two that is impressive. Iowa isn’t ever going to be Ohio State or Michigan and consistintly recruit the big dogs. But being what Wisconsin has been lately would be ideal.

No doubt. We have people here who were telling you you had a lot of balls if you predicted 7-5... who are now gonna be hurt if we don’t run the table lol

Our offense is better and your defense is better. I contend that Iowa had a better team last year and Purdue beat Iowa @ Iowa 24-15. We will beat Iowa again this year.

I think Iowa is more balanced and deeper. I'm not sure this has any impact on the outcome though. I see Iowa's key to victory as pressure on the QB. But I also see an improved offensive line for Purdue.

I think the best teams in the B1G, as of today, are as I stated above. I was not surprised to see Purdue win yesterday, and wasn't even surprised by the score.

All in all, a very, very interesting finish to the B1G season. And I'll be in WL in two weeks, as I am every other year. Albeit a slightly more expensive ticket this year. And not surprisingly, my tix for next week at PSU have come down in cost.

I think what you did for that kid with cancer is one of the many reasons I truly love the college football game. I don't care who you root for, if watching that last night didn't tear you up, you're not human.

Good luck. I'll be back throughout the next couple of weeks to bring a more detailed breakdown. In a nutshell, this is not a good match up for Iowa's defense. We've gotten some surprisingly good play out of our cornerbacks this season, but pre-season, this is where we though we had no depth. That hasn't changed dramatically, although it has changed. same can be said at linebacker. So while we are pleasantly surprised at both position groups, it would be foolish to not think what existed pre-season, still doesn't exist today.

Currently the two divisions are 6-6 against each other. Michigan alone has 3 of those wins for the East.

in 2017 (West gets home advantage)
East 13-8
West 8-13

in 2016 (East home advantage)
East 10-11
West 11-10

in 2015 (West home advantage)
East 7-7
West 7-7

East is 4-0 in championship games.

Remaining for this year:

Indiana @ Minnesota
Iowa @ Penn State
Purdue @ Michigan State
Illinois @ Maryland
Nebraska @ OSU
Rutgers @ Wisky
Wisky @ Penn State
MSU @ Nebraska
Purdue @ Indiana

Disagree.

Purdue didn’t fluke win that game. It was domination
