How does this one rank among your all time Purdue hoops package blasts?

I would put it definitely behind '88, and maybe behind '94 as well, though at least the '94 team made the EE.

Probably top 5, but I can think of at least three or four that were worse. Last year may have been worse as well. God do I hate the off season. Baseball is so boring until October!

Yup you would have to be insane to expect different results from Painter anymore. He has 0 excuses this year, no injury bug, no talent gap, no im just unlucky, He stunk up the court and when Iowa ST kills this little piece of shit directional arkansas school. We will know that we have seen painters peak!

I'm a bit surprised this happened...but not shocked. It wasn't hard to see this one coming from a mile away. From the get-go. I listened to the first half on the radio. Lost the tip. Then gave up 4 offensive rebounds on the first possession. It was bad from the start. And - not that surprising.

This game was a fitting ending to the season. It ended exactly like the entire season. Mistakes on the floor and poor coaching. CMP panicked and did something he hasn't done all year, put VE at the point. Things like that show you don't know what you are doing. I actually like the move and thought it should have been done all year, but you don't wait until overtime of an NCAA game to try something new. He's to set in his ways to ever be a successful coach. It's not just the game that is disappointing, it's the entire season. I thought this was one of Purdue's most talented teams, and not only was the tournament wasted, the entire B1G season. I really can't think of any positives from this season.

You knew Purdue would be in trouble in this tournament when we faced a team that took away Hammons. Little Rock did exactly that towards the end of the game. Everyone just stood around and then took bad shots.

Sadly, it doesn't rank very high because I'm not at all surprised.

Tend to agree....thought the Boilers would advance but am not totally shocked, especially after some of the games we've seen the last couple of years.

We know Ray Davis and AJH didn't want to go out like that, but the opportunities were there. I appreciate they stuck around for four years, and even though they didn't get the results they wanted, they brought more of a TEAM atmosphere to the program and should be recognized for that and their efforts.

I wish them and all the seniors the best in whatever endeavors are ahead for them.

Disappointing, though, in the end....no matter how you slice it.

Pretty crappy when we almost lost the in the 1st round as a #1 seed and then lost to Rhode Island in the 2nd round. This one is the worst of the last 10-15 years. Painter sucks.

This is about 100 times worse than when Kentucky lost to Robert Morris. The worst loss in Purdue basketball history ever. This was the result of a coward team that played like cowards. Afraid to lose rather than attacking to win. The coach has got to be fired after this. We shouldn't have to be put through this kind of shame. There has to be consequences for this. If a general had America's military and lost to Cuba in a war then heads need to roll and fast. No way this is what 2 million a year buys. It is time to fire and its time to hire a winner.

This was my only reason I came here to say all night.
Why not try that lineup right after or even during the Butler loss?

Trying it late tonight was a head scratcher. I might also add at around the 4:00 minute mark when we were up double digits. I would have sat AJ for a couple of possessions so he would be fresh to end the game. As it stood he didn't and then played 10 minutes of overtime. Too much to ask.

I bet the players are taking it hard.

I thought so also. When teams pressed us at the end of the season, he went small with Swanigan at the 5 and we were pretty successful. Swanigan barely played the last 5-10 min. of regulation.

That was Georgia in the 2nd round in 1996. Rhode Island was the 1st round in 1993.

This one is up there for me, simply because this might be the worst team we have ever lost to in the NCAA, with a team that i thought could go to the Elite 8.
