Just wondering comparatively to how many games we have left.

Some possible interviews going on now...?

Generally speaking, is it more likely that a candidate travels to you or that you travel to the candidate? I guess if the guy is coaching another team, it's certainly more convenient for him if the interview is a "home game" for him. But I would have thought it to be the other way around as kind of a default.

If I was the coach I'd certainly want to see the campus and facilities first hand.

If coaches were actually flying to and touring campus, it would be public knowledge. That would be almost impossible to keep secret. You have to fly to a neutral location IMO.

Agree. Obviously I was asking because the flight tracker linked was going to Dallas, not from.
Not that there is any legitimacy to this being football related, but that was the return flight. The plane arrived at Purdue at 5:28 pm and departed at 9:49 pm.
Also, Houston has its own airport and is like 3 1/2 hours from Dallas.
But I do enjoy this game!

Gotcha. I didn't even think about it being a return flight. And yes, Houston and Dallas are not exactly next door like Eagleton and Pawnee!

But I guarantee phone calls are being made. We should already have a list and know who's interested by now.
Interested through back channels. Also some places would require permission to even interview. They are talking to representatives of the coach, not the coach directly.

Houston has two airports, actually......and an air strip west of the metro area.

The other thing is they will try to be under the radar. If you are a candidate, especially one actively at another school you don't want that word out. If Bobo does meet with people early in the process be it a coach out of work or a coach with a break (Fleck did have an 11 day off period to talk), I doubt it would be on campus and likely in some place away from everything, even away from Indy or Chicago- a place where you would not be as recognizable. Once they pare it down to 2-3 they will bring them to campus.

With WMU being off from November 9-18 I would imagine the two may have talked late last week to see if it is a fit and if both parties are interested. I imagine someone like Fleck or others would wait until November 26 to start that phase, 1. as a courtesy to the job you have, 2. as a courtesy to yourself to see what your options are.
