Generally speaking, is it more likely that a candidate travels to you or that you travel to the candidate? I guess if the guy is coaching another team, it's certainly more convenient for him if the interview is a "home game" for him. But I would have thought it to be the other way around as kind of a default.
If I was the coach I'd certainly want to see the campus and facilities first hand.Generally speaking, is it more likely that a candidate travels to you or that you travel to the candidate? Agree. Obviously I was asking because the flight tracker linked was going to Dallas, not from.If I was the coach I'd certainly want to see the campus and facilities first hand.
Not that there is any legitimacy to this being football related, but that was the return flight. The plane arrived at Purdue at 5:28 pm and departed at 9:49 pm.Agree. Obviously I was asking because the flight tracker linked was going to Dallas, not from.
Gotcha. I didn't even think about it being a return flight. And yes, Houston and Dallas are not exactly next door like Eagleton and Pawnee! Not that there is any legitimacy to this being football related, but that was the return flight. The plane arrived at Purdue at 5:28 pm and departed at 9:49 pm.
Also, Houston has its own airport and is like 3 1/2 hours from Dallas.
But I do enjoy this game!
I figured you must be from Eagleton.Gotcha. I didn't even think about it being a return flight. And yes, Houston and Dallas are not exactly next door like Eagleton and Pawnee!
Not necessarily, visits yea but vetting candidates is different. No one with a job is interviewing until the conclusion of their regular season.
But I guarantee phone calls are being made. We should already have a list and know who's interested by now.No one with a job is interviewing until the conclusion of their regular season.
Right. I betcha we have a primary candidate in place right now but it can't be announced until the season is over. But I guarantee phone calls are being made. We should already have a list and know who's interested by now.
Sure they are.No one with a job is interviewing until the conclusion of their regular season.
likewise, I could see nd getting rid of Kelley and Miles going there.I'm all in on Fleck first.
No, they aren't. Trust me. Unless a late bye week it would be impossible. Don't give me the Tedford example because he had no on field or recruiting responsibilities.Sure they are.
Interested through back channels. Also some places would require permission to even interview. They are talking to representatives of the coach, not the coach directly. But I guarantee phone calls are being made. We should already have a list and know who's interested by now.
Auburn once interviewed Petrino mid -season, on the tarmac at the Louisville airport! No one with a job is interviewing until the conclusion of their regular season.
how ClintonesqueAuburn once interviewed Petrino mid -season, on the tarmac at the Louisville airport!
Most have a shred more integrity than Bobby Petrino. I imagine most coaches will wait to see all options as well.Auburn once interviewed Petrino mid -season, on the tarmac at the Louisville airport!
Our job is open, whereas Auburns was not, so slightly different circumstances. Most have a shred more integrity than Bobby Petrino. I imagine most coaches will wait to see all options as well.
