Pundits down on the Big Ten this year. Did a quick lookup. Going back 10 years the Big Ten has always had at least one Top 10 team in the final standings, usually 2 in the top 12. Four in top 25. This year none will finish top 12, maybe 2 in top 25. When was the last time the Big 10 failed to put a team in the Top 10 to end a season?

Will just be a one year fluke........... A lot of young teams in the BIG this year. Lol! maybe we will all be overlooked this year in the DANCE and shock some teams...........

i dont know the answer but the conference has largely earned its reputation this year. purdue is the best in the conference and that unfortunately just isnt saying much.

That is what I kind of thought during the win streak. MSU is not MSU. OSU is not usual OSU. Indiana is likely out of the NCAA. It is an odd trend.

Makes you wonder if any big ten team will be around come the 2nd weekend of the tournament?

All depends on matchups. I was feeling better about things until this week. See a few ways to beat us. Anyone with an athletic guard or big man to frustrate Swanigan might be a problem.

My prediction would be 7 in, Northwestern in a Tuesday play-in. 2 to make Sweet 16.

2003 (Wisconsin (21) champ, Illinois (11)) - Illinois was a 4-seed, Wisconsin a 5-seed.

2002 (Illinois (13) tri-champ) - 4-seed.

The conference still ended up with a team in the FF in 2002, and Regional Finalist in 2003.

Wow so 14 years. I just don't see maybe that younger team coming on finding a stride or a team with an injury getting a player back. The top 3 teams have all tripped a bit recently. I guess we would be the favorite of the three to make a run.
