When Trump loses Chip Roy; it’s over for Trump

Latest polling has republican likely voters peeling away from Trump due to Jan 6 fatigue. Guess who they are moving to. The man who will be declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election by 11 pm eastern.

I'm not a huge Pence fan, but he was dead right on his actions regarding the Electoral College certification. I wish his discipline could have worn off on Trump a bit (but no brash 70 year old, billionaire, President is likely to listen to anyone who's 'accomplished less'). I see DeSantis as an ideal candidate espousing Trump-like policy positions but with far more discipline.

From the article, it did not sound like Trump had 'lost' Chip Roy:

"Even though Roy has fallen into lock-step with Congressional Republicans who remain loyal to Donald Trump, he is on record repudiating the former president for his conduct in the aftermath of the 2020 election"

DeSantis is and always has been the next logical choice. Trump is still leading Biden in a lot of polls if the election was held today, but there is no way he should run. He's too old and with as unhinged as the left is, we'll have nothing but even more anger and hate and excuses from them during his entire term.

However Trump is a "king maker" right now and if he gets behind DeSantis, DeSantis will win in a landslide.
