Wheeler and Ewing

Each got only about 3 minutes of playing time the last couple of games.

I would be a little frustrated if my team were winning by 40 points and I only got to play for 3 minutes. I feel bad for them.

But I also trust Painter, and to me this lack of playing time must indicate that these guys are not catching onto the defensive scheme, or not catching onto something.

Do you guys agree?

another possibility is Grady won't play much against tougher opponents or much this year, so Painter is giving him some playing time.

Wheeler's playing time - 9:04 (EST), 16:40 (ROU), 8:04 (CZE), 16:51 (UAE), 2:12 (ARG)
Ewing's playing time - 10:10 (EST), 11:56 (ROU), 7:25 (CZE), 15:13 (UAE), 3:16 (ARG)

They have both played around 10 minutes per Ewing getting his minutes at the 5 behind JT & IH . Wheeler playing the 4 behind VE and a much improved Grady .

Wheeler looks green as goose sh*t right now. Both need a ton more practicing in the system but these games have been fantastic for all the new guys. idk if cmp wants one of these guys to back up vince or what. I'm a huge Haarms fan so I would just put Haas/Haarms rotation and Vince/Taylor rotation. Next year Wheeler and Ewing can battle it out for the back up 4 spot. I honestly don't see much playing time for wheeler and sasha. Haarms and Nojel should get a good amount. I would actually shirt wheeler before Sasha. Hopefully Wheeler develops into a 40% 3 point shooter who can guard the 3-4-5 spots if need be and be a blocking terror when playing man on man or help side D.

I am just of the opinion a JuCo should never redshirt. I liken their JuCo years to redshirting

Maybe. Or maybe Painter is trying to build chemistry for later in the season.
