Is that Painter followed Scott for multiple years in high school. He knew exactly what he was getting. Scott was praised on this board for the toughness, fight, and aggressiveness. Now those same characteristics are being used as reasons he is not playing. At least to me, it should be obvious that a player with those characteristics moving from 2 guard to PG is going to struggle with control. Just the same as PJT, a lightly recruited PG, is going to struggle with the speed of the game as a frosh.
Problem is that Scott has gone from starting to not playing at all to playing a huge role in the IU game to not playing at all again. The reverse is true for PJT. A tall order for either kid to get their feet underneath them. No one on this board besides Brian probably knows whats really going on. However, whatever fault there is to be assigned to this situation - Painter owns a great deal of it.

Good chance if we can't land a 5th year PG, we will enter next year with 2 (maybe just 1) highly inexperienced PG options and that is squarely on Painter.
