So dozens of huge names, both schools and coaches are getting named in the FBI basketball probe. What if the NCAA goes soft because the scope of this is so large. Basically letting the cheaters off and crapping on the honest programs by not rewarding them or allowing them some benefit?
It would seem the NCAA is opening themselves to litigation by not enforcing their own rules. They are taking recruits, wins, ticket sales and huge revenue from the honest schools. Will a school step forward and sue the NCAA? Or will the honest schools be too afraid of their own hidden skeletons. Perhaps a unknown violation of their own or some undisclosed hidden issue?
I'm in the category of those that believe even the honest schools have some dirt somewhere. It's so easy to say everyone does it and hard to show some institutionally steal millions while others had a bad employee steal thousands.
