Not sure if anyone listened to his open today, but I don't know what he is talking about. He stated "Swanigan is going to Purdue, but I never said it was a done deal. That would imply it was a deal." Ok I get that, there don't need to be rumors circulating that Painter set up a deal with Swanigan, but thats not what people are stating you said. People are just stating you reported that Swanigan is going to Purdue, which you did!! No one is implying there is a deal to get him. People used YOUR TWEET as a source to Swanigan committing, if you don't want that, then don't tweet that! If you don't have a source, then don't tweet that!! Don't spout off information that isn't true or completed yet. Don't use semantics as an arguments "I didn't say deal." Same difference, you still stated he is going to purdue, which is all anyone took from your tweet. People use twitter to break news, you are media (even though you claim you aren't, another stupid argument that doesn't need to be discussed), and others will use what you say as a source. Moron! I haven't listened to him in awhile, but wanted to hear his explanation for the tweets last night, and now I remember why I stopped listening. Sorry, rant over.

I like Dakich a lot, but him not elaborating at all and calling people "dumb" for asking for/needing clarification makes him look like the idiot.
I tuned in too for the first time in forever for the same reasons - so apparently he's all bent because someone put the word "deal" at the end of his sentence. BTW, he just finished his segment by saying about the Swanigan going to Purdue - "This deal is done." LOL!
Did anyone listen to his show opening and think the guy is nuts? What exactly is he having a hissy-fit about? He tweeted something, people interpreted the meaning of the tweet and restated the information, then he basically confirmed on his show today that their interpretation of the tweet, that Swanigan is going to Purdue, was correct. So what's the problem Dakich?

Is this someone trying to be Dakich or actually him? Anyway, the issue is: you/Dakich flipped out because they used the word "deal." Who cares? That appeared to be what set you off for you no reason. They basically just used you as a source saying he is coming to Purdue and you tore them a new one for this, even though you reported it. If you didn't want to be a source for this information, don't tweet it. Those sites aren't the only ones that used your tweet as a source. Shame on you for reporting something that wasn't confirmed yet. Calling people dumb, for adding a word, but still reporting the essence of what you were tweeting is just immature.
If he is committing to Purdue, this is amazing news and I am very happy.
Dakich hates most basketball fans, it comes out a lot - this is just part of another example of that. If a fan questions him he goes nuts.....not worth listening to.
Off of DD for a moment; question about Caleb. I heard this term "reclassified" to describe his high school status. Does this mean he SKIPPED a year in HS? If that is the case, does this make him only 17 (or a young 18?) If so, that is opposite what most do; i.e. hold back a year for maturity's sake.

And that article fails to mention that not only did he fool the purdue guys but national guys too. Did you not see the meyer tweets last night it wasn't a pretty picture. This will only work so many times with the Twitter world and spiked ratings for his show too. What's not to get about that it's fairly cut and dry unlike his tweeting skills

It's amazing to me how quickly national espn pulls the noose on their national talent for dumb things that are perceived as pr screw ups but the regional talent can literally call people out and it's OK

I don't buy this is really DD. I can find out though. About 1 and 1/2 years ago you sent a very nice personal 2 page letter and gift to my cousin "Red" in Goshen concerning his illness and recovery. Red was a long time Indiana fan, 50+ years and you wrote a long, complimentary paragraph about his favorite all time Indiana Hoosier player, who his brother had told you about when he wrote you earlier. You said you knew the player well. Name that favorite player or the gift you sent then I'll believe this isn't a Santa Claus thing. The gift was pretty unique.
