What Is Gained By Camping For A Day At A DIII School?

I don't understand the benefit of taking the team for a two a day session to a DIII school. They are at DePauw today, and IIRC, they went to Wabash last year. Is the goal to expose the Purdue football brand to high school players and coaches around the state? If so, why not hold the sessions at Carmel, Center Grove, Warren Central, Ben Davis, etc.? Is that not permitted? Is there any indication that high school players and/or coaches are attending these road shows at the DIII campuses? I have a vague memory of DH saying last year that he wanted to take the players out of their comfort zone and expose them to challenges to make them more mentally tough. Not sure that practicing for a day at a DIII campus does that . . . whatever the goal is . . . it does not seem to be translating into anything of value to the program. Can someone please elucidate?

Gets freshman accustomed to travel and accustomed to playing away from WL.

Also, this cant be advertised ahead of time so i wouldnt worry too much about exposure.

Allows The Haze to "take a hard look" at a program he could be coaching with or against next year.

That's a good point about "haters" being a loaded and inaccurate term. I do think lots of Purdue fans are fed up with Haze, and much of that is on him.

I was shocked when Purdue went 1-11 in 2013. I was disappointed and frustrated when Purdue faded to 3-9 in 2014 after showing mid-season signs of life. But I had enough last year when Haze was talking about seeing better defensive positioning and improved blocking after Purdue got obliterated at home by Illinois and Minnesota.

Any good Casey's or Denny's to get a Burger and a Sweet Tea, along the way to the Colleges, also maybe showing how good they have it at Purdue, with the facilities now and in the future!
Boiler Up!!
