Agreed, but I think he'd be innovative in the B1G, can recruit, has skins on the wall, and might be available after CDH gets fired on Sunday.

History should tell us a resounding NO! Look no further than Fred Akers. Purdue wrecked his W-L record and likely career as he never coached Div I after 1990.

Purdue will need a coach with enthusiasm and can be innovative just like Coach Tiller when he arrived at West Lafayette. Yes, the conference figured out the Spread Offense, but everything upgraded when Tiller arrived as he set expectations and instilled belief in each other and in the system and it worked for a handful of years.
