for the hardest schedule. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/college-football-news-ranks-hardest-190452175.html
We are likely going 8-4. Run heavy teams without a dynamic (not play action) passing game just don’t do well against walters. That’s everyone except Fresno state, Wisconsin and Ohio state. Wisconsin will be new to the spread. Ohio state will have a new QB and schools like Fresno state are losing a lot of their best players to transfer. While, impressed with new coach and staff actions, predicted 3-4 wins as a success in 2023 before the new hire and will stick with that thinking even though great moves so far in staff and transfers
Gotta be a wake-up call for some players to see teammates cut, and knowing that Walters can cut more after the season if needed…We are likely going 8-4. Purdue should be in almost every game they play. Now.. the bounces don’t go your way in some.. so I’m thinking 7-5/9-3. But this will be a good football team.
Walters has cut a lot of non contributing parts and I think these guys are going to come out tough and disciplined in the fall.
It is .. and you’ll get people on here who are probably from their hometown saying “that’s mean.” When these guys are 22 that’s how it’s gonna be for the rest of their life. If they can’t pay the bills when they are 29, their wife isn’t gonna say “oh well you were a great prospect junior year of high school.”Gotta be a wake-up call for some players to see teammates cut, and knowing that Walters can cut more after the season if needed…
Maybe so with the transfer portal moves that get made, but PU’s schedule is objectively ambitious. Fresno, VT, and Syracuse as the OOC with UM and OSU as the crossovers? This "hardest" schedule thing is overblown
