He did a great job. Granted, the competition was not a Villanova, but he really played pretty consistently I thought - and with literally no notice.
I would like to go one NCAA tournament without a key player getting hurt please!

No question Eric was mentally helped by playing that many minutes in a game. We shall see how he and Nojel play out, but that game experience probably helped Eric for Nova. Aggresively drove a couple of times and hit both Ft's. Need Sasha to respond a bit now...missing some FTs and a couple too low passes to Haarms. Get loose Sasha, Purdue needs your stroke in addition to your hustle on D
Hunter was outstanding in a supporting role. Wheeler played very well. Just needs to cut down on the fouls.
Agree....at times Aaron Wheeler he has been foul-prone, which has limited his minutes and then limited his effectiveness when he gets some minutes.....however, Wheels has the capability to provide a big spark against Villanova. Boilers are going to need some juice from the bench Saturday.
To me if Wheeler can step up his defense and work on his game, he is the most likely 1st round pick someday currently on the team.
He has the handles, quickness and shooting to play SF at the next level and the length at 6'9 the NBA loves.
He just needs to learn to not foul so much and work on his shooting and he can be a star in college.
