Football Recruiting
First off, I want to start out by saying there could be a potential commitment on the horizon. Desman Stephens, whom Purdue has recruited for months now, will be on campus this weekend.
Once upon a time, he was a Boston College Commit, but has de-committed in recent weeks. Purdue does not have an inside linebacker committed at the moment, adding Stepehens to the 2024 class would be a massive one for Ryan Walters.
Purdue has quietly begun to show what positions they will attack in the transfer portal. Their first stab at it is in the junior college ranks, where Purdue has offered several massive human beings on the offensive line and one of the best wide receivers in junior college.
Rod Green - Offensive Line, Coffeyville CC
Rod Green is starting to garner a lot of interest from schools across the country. To me, he is more of an offensive guard than an offensive tackle. He does a nice job of blocking on the interior but I am not sold he is athletic enough to play as an offensive tackle in the Big Ten.
Jaekwon Bouldin - Offensive Line, Gulf Coast CC

Bouldin does not have a Rivals profile yet but shows great hands and mobility for a man his size on his HUDL film. He does a great job of getting to the second level and locking onto linebackers and he bullies smaller defensive linemen on the Line of Scrimmage.
Greg Nunnery - Offensive Line, Gulf Coast CC
Nunnery currently is a verbal commitment to Southern Miss but has received more interest in recent weeks. Going with the Purdue offer, Nunnery received offers from Western Kentucky and USF as well in the month of October.
Markel Bell - Offensive Line, Holmes CC
Bell is a nationwide prospect out of Holmes Junior College, having offers from coast to coast. He is a massive offensive lineman standing at 6-9, 345 pounds. Purdue has been vastly outmanned on the offensive line in terms of size this season, with the two starting guards being two of the smallest in the country.
Deion Smith - Wide Receiver, Holmes CC
Deion Smith out of high school was a 4-star prospect who was committed to LSU. He would transfer to Holmes after a season at LSU and is now one of the best wide receivers. In 6 games at Holmes, he has 26 catches for 642 yards and six touchdowns.
Obviously, the biggest news of the week came in with 4-star tight end, Tayvion Galloway finally giving his verbal to Coach Walters. He will be a December enrollee.
Football News
Some quick injury news.
Mahamane Moussa is out with an ankle injury, he may or may not be ready to go after the bye. Tyrone Tracy Jr will be back after the bye week and help split backfield duties with Devin Mockobee once again.
Yaseen did not play in the Ohio State game with some knee issues, he should return, and reserve OL Luke Griffin is done for the season.
Basketball Recruiting
The waiting game is still on for Gicarri Harris who was allegedly supposed to commit during the “middle of October” Well, we are now into the back third of October and still have heard nothing. Purdue is still in great shape for him, but questions about what is taking so long are starting to fill my mind.
Coach Painter has now visited 2025 Big Man Daniel Jacobsen a minimum of three times. The 7-2 do-it-all center has opened many coach’s eyes and can reclassify to the 2024 class if he chooses to do so. In fact, his Twitter states class of 2024, whereas some recruiting services say 2025. Rivals list him as a 2024 graduate.
