Shorter practice. Lots of scrimmage followed by jog-throughs (faster than a walk, but no contact).

Dozens of kids from Kentucky were here. Talked to a couple. One came from the school that Elijah is from. Four star defensive end from Louisville.

Another recruit from Evansville Reitz (#1 team for part of last year).

No huge kids, except the DE.

Sipe and Plummer get the bulk of reps (sorry, I tend to watch them a great deal, since that's the position I played).

DJ and Markell looked their usual selves (and by that I mean good).

RB Horvath seems big (230 lbs) out there with medium speed and he got quite a few carries.

Don't quote me on this, but there was a really nice interception, and I think it was Mosley. Also, Jack threw a really nice post route to Zico. TE's played a pretty good part of the offensive package.

Talked with Jackson (his brother was there) for about 5 minutes. It's hard to believe that no one else offered (in his words, "not even the small schools like Trine" - but - my words - they knew they were wasting their efforts). I asked him if he was the last Anthrop that we could look forward to becoming Boilers and he said "no, I have a couple of nephews . . . . . . but they are only 1 and 2 years old"). I'm gonna miss this great Lafayette family playing at Purdue!

Coach's final words at practice were "go to class Friday - work hard - get better - there's some here who are working hard to improve - have a good, safe spring break, but be ready to come back and get a lot of work done, cause we break camp in 3 weeks!"

Oh yes, almost forgot. I asked the Brohm kid if he ever went to school.

Since you are at the practices, thought you might know if the new athletic facility is open for touring?
