Channel 18 is calling for rain during the game...and windy. I'm assuming that helps Iowa and hurts us.
It would probably negate a little of our passing game and make it more of a run-game battle.

Thoughts?

Off topic what’s it like to get a ticket on Saturday outside the stadium I’m coming from Iowa and don’t have a ticket and the game is sold out thanks

Rain is looking less of a factor in the afternoon hours now. Wind will be a factor.

I'm not sure which team favors windy conditions. Normally I would say it hurts the team that likes to pass more (Purdue). But the Purdue defense has been SO suspect against the pass, that it could use all the help it can get from mother nature. 30 mph wind plus Spencer Petras, and Iowa might not attempt more than 10 passes all game long. This helps Purdue in their box stacking, zero man approach.

On the other side of the ball, I think the improved run game with Crazy Mock Legs allows Brohm to dial back from 50 passes per game to 20-30 and still be somewhat effective moving the ball. Aidan has the arm talent to drive the ball through the wind on short to medium routes to OPEN receivers. The tricky part will be him to not attempt fitting the ball into really TIGHT windows as he so loves to do. Some of those tight windows will necessitate throw aways with the windy conditions on Saturday and live another down, punt as required. If he manages the game well I think Purdue is in decent shape here.

Any rain in the game, forget about it. Purdue loses in a rain game. History is not on our side in the last 5 yrs with Brohm and pass happy offense. Running has improved, but Iowa has a stout defense.

Gusts of 50 mph possible won't be fun. Running game needs to continue. If it is extreme wind, maybe Burton at times? Just thinking, stinking since our QB is not a runner... I see a bunch of short shots to CJ.

No tailgating tents I hear. Better go to the bar instead. My Corona, du,du..du, du. Give me some time Corona. Go Boilers!
