We should have “rowed the boat”…

he wasn't interested, don't really care for him but a solid coach, good for them they got robbed last week
We had a good one in brohm, so you can’t compare Walters to fleck because that wasn’t the alternate.

Fleck has been trying to get out of minny. He will leave them in the worst kind of way and you will see how their fans think of fleck then.

I would agree. Fleck took the Minnesota job to be a stepping stone. His name has come up the last 3 years for other coaching vacancies. He just hasn’t found that next job he wants yet. If he had come to Purdue, he would have left by now.

Good chance he'd still be here and have the program in a decent spot. I still think Brohm was the better fit at Purdue though.
Maybe so. I recall the debate when they were both hired. Brohm was more passing oriented and said to be a better fit. Fleck was boring - sort of like Iowa. The fans on this forum prefer passing and believe that’s the only way Purdue. Will ever be successful.

I look at boring programs like Iowa And see a lot of Indiana. High school players going to Iowa. Those players could come to Purdue if Purdue would change its philosophy. We don’t need to be a passing oriented school to win. And I believe Purdue fans would accept a boring team if it was a winner.
