Thhe thiing is the shots weren't bad per se, they just didn't fall .. was like that all night really. Make the free throws and we win.

That was an open shot....make it, and it might have been the difference. The last minute of regulation is where Purdue let this get away. JMHO

I agree. PJ was open but he should have held up and used some clock.
Give Cincy credit for playing a great game.

Basically Purdue has no one who can take it to the hole, without getting it blocked except AJ, so they kept firing long shots, but they did play hard

Are you serious? Great Game? See the comment above about that's what Purdue does... F things up. That attitude is why Purdue loses like that. Very simply. INEXPERIENCE. You could see the mental mistakes late. Team lost it's composure and understandable. Why are freshmen role players taking big shots down stretch. Cincy gave Purdue 3pter and they stuck to the stats and couldn't hit them. Not getting ball in against press just inexcusable in that situation.

Would have gotten killed by Kentucky so be realiistic.

You can get open half court shots, doesn't mean you should take them. This team can't shoot for shit. 26 threes? Yep, that guarantees a loss. Stupid basketball.

What was p.j. even doing in the game down 1 with a minute left while Stephen's and mathias were on the bench? That lineup made no sense.
How do you not make sure Hammons is under the basket on that last shot to defend the paint After "setting up your defense".
But people will praise the program for making the tournament because we have been so bad the past few years...gotta love praising mediocrity.

Being physical and playing defense is great and all but goddamn if you play D1 basketball you gotta be able to hit an open shot at some point. Its just unreal how bad it can get.

I knew it was going to be a long night because all of our shots were short from the beginning and as soon as we went into OT I knew we were done. The longer we have to play, the more time we have to screw it up. Purdue has always been that way.
