I really like Nojel's game! He throws these great no-look or behind the back passes that work! I have seen plenty of other players try those passes, but for some reason they have a hard time connecting. Either the pass is too low or not positioned correctly. Nojel seems to be able to lay that pass exactly where he wants it, making it easy for the receiving player to catch and score.

Now, I don't think his defense is there yet, but I think he has all the physical tools to be great at it. .

He looks like he is having fun out there, and he is blending well with his teammates also. Really glad he choose to come to Purdue. I think it will benefit both the school and the player.

Forged in fire? I love that show and my great grandfather was the town blacksmith.
Love that show too! Discovered it a few months ago and have watched every episode since. Makes me think I can forge a knife now!

Agreed here. Good show for History Channel alongside American Pickers and Counting Cars...would love to see Jack and Ozzie's World Tour again. It was surprisingly informative and I actually use their episode in Cuba in my Geography class to show about culture and growth of the Cuban economy after the US blockade and subsequent thawing of relations (which has been turned back again).

now remember Chevy was the guy who loved taylor ..

I'm the guy who loved Eastern and said he should start over PJ !

Love how fearless he takes it to the rim too... that first step crossover is deadly. SC Top 10s in his future.

Not the same thing because, well, you were wrong.:D
Seriously though. I'm loving Eastern but PJ is absolutely the right guy.

The steal of the century is Carsen.
No way at this point is Eastern over Lasalle. If you watched today's game, that is obviously pretty clear.

Mr. Painter?

Jim, I'll take Carsen Edwards from Atascocita, Texas and Nojel Eastern from Evanston, Illinois.

Correct. Well done, sir.

Got ya! I think Nojel might be better than his ranking. That;s why I said he might be a steal (damn auto-correct). In any case, I was impressed with his physical skills. Once he figures out where he needs to be on the court, and where his teammates are, we are going to have fun.

Glad Eastern is showing major promise to be a capable guy to step in next year and replace the huge hole @ PG. I think of the rest of the newbies, SS has shown flashes on both sides of the floor to be an ok replacement for Cline's minutes....as Cline takes DM's minutes. Let's hope the 2 other newbies learn the Purdue D soon so they too can see more PT in prep for 2018.

In all honesty, when Sasha figures out the speed a bit more and the intricacies of defense/shot choice, I think he'll end up being a very good player at Purdue. He has some baby-fat on him that will allow the staff to improve his overall athletic ability and build with the proper diet and training...and he plays really pretty hard. I think you can tell physically he is the most behind of the incoming class of guys...but he can definitely be a guy who will play some important minutes in the coming years. I'll say a more athletic Mathias but maybe not to the level of a guy like Kenny Lowe in his prime at Purdue...somewhere in between...and that would still be a damn good B1G player.
