IMO, Kansas is the best team left in it. I do think Purdue has quite a mismatch here though. Ever since Azibuke went down they have really struggled defensively and with rebounding. You never see a Bill Self coached team this poor defensively. Swanigan and Haas should have a field day. I don't see anyone on the Jayhawks roster that can slow Swanigan down, especially. Not many can. The problem is KU has a mixture of experience and talent that is hard to beat. Frank Mason is the best 4 year Jayhawk in a long time. Throw in the possible #1 pick in the draft and a bunch of other experience/talent around them and they are tough to beat.

Josh Jackson is coming along very nicely. He has the ability to take over games and him and Frank Mason work off each other very well. The difference between him and other recent one-and-dones for KU is he just has that cold blooded winner mentality. He doesn't care about anything else. Wiggins took it easy on defense and JoJo Embiid got lethargic at times as well. JJ is the most talented two way player in the nation according to most. Couple that with his pure desire to win and he is gonna be a special one. I am looking forward to this game more than any others in the Sweet 16 slate. Purdue has a very good matchup here but KU is just so good. If I had to predict the outcome I would say a very high scoring game with KU's backcourt being too much in the end. This is not to say Purdue's backcourt is not good, KU's is just outstanding. This will be a very entertaining game to watch. Gonna be rooting hard for you guys at the Sprint Center here in KC.

I will be watching the foul situation very carefully. If it favors Purdue, I think we have the team to win. If it favors Kansas, I don't think we have much of a shot. If neutral, I'd give Kansas a slight nod. That said, there is no one in the tournament more driven to win that Caleb Swanigan and he thrives when he and his team is doubted. Purdue just needs to make Kansas pay for double teams and zoning us and keep you out of transition (easier said than done).

Our ability to hang in the game will depend on our offensive efficiency. If we knock down shots and have few turnovers we can keep them out of transition. If we can keep them in the halfcourt we should be able to slow them a little bit.

Really good assessment. Thanks... I tend to agree with it completely. However, this is Reality TV and the unexpected may just happen. Hoping for an UPSET. Go Boilers... :)

Oh I am too, trust me. Living around here you learn to hate KU. Not to mention my B1G rooting interests. Hoping to meet some cool Purdue fans at the Sprint Center. If you have never been, it's a beautiful arena. The bar district Power & Light is as fun as they come. You really can't go wrong with any of them, although if you are planning to go to shark bar I would either be sub-25 or very intoxicated. Also, if you have time to try Joe's KC it is the best bar-b-que in town, IMO. The restaurant is in an old gas station and its authenticity is very cool.
