This kid sounds amazing. If he decides to come to Purdue I just can't imagine just how dangerous we would be with him and Moore on the field at the same time. Then the possibility of Bell, then add Sheffield, then.....................

He’s been clocked between 4.2 and 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash. In Friday’s 55-42 win over Woodford County, he accounted for seven touchdowns — four rushing, two receiving and one passing — and 328 yards of total offense. He ran 20 times for 181 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown run. He caught four passes for 94 yards and was 1-for-2 passing for 53 yards. On defense, he had four solo tackles, six assists and one interception.

Through five games, his numbers are sensational. He’s rushed 90 times for 1,179 yards — 11 yards per carry — and 12 touchdowns with a long run of 87 yards. He’s caught nine passes for 311 yards — 34.5 yards per catch — and six touchdowns with a 75-yard reception as his longest. He’s returned three punts for 161 yards, including one of 96 yards, and two scores. He’s thrown a touchdown a pass. He has almost 1,700 yards of total offense. On defense, he has 23 solo tackles, 20 assists, four tackles for loss and two interceptions.

I am salivating the all the possibilities of a two back set with Wandale/Rondale. If Wandale can't see what CJB can do for him based on how Rondale has been utilized from day 1, then nothing is going to bring him to Purdue.

Huge game against Nebraska this weekend to sway Wandale back towards the Boilermakers after he had l an enjoyable weekend in Lincoln a couple weeks ago.

Big game on the recruiting front. statement game in the B1G west.

The environment and crowds at the games thus far have helped keep the recruiting momentum going. If you've been to a game this year - you're making a difference. If you haven't been to a game yet - get your butt to one and be a part of the reason that draws 4* recruits to Purdue!

He had is official visit to Alabama. They are very much in play for him. I think they are looking at him as strictly a WR though. Purdue would be looking at him primarily a RB, but they would move him around to get him the ball. When Rondale pulls, the defense can’t cheat because of running Wandale the other way. The options are endless. No doubt in my mind Purdue would get the most out of him. There is no doubt Purdue would get him the most playing time early. Rondale is in the national spotlight as the best freshman in the country. He is getting a crazy amount of touches. It seems like such an easy choice to be honest. Purdue may not have the recent history of the other programs, but Purdue is building a monster. There is literally no better time to join up.

Read an article on him. He has his OSU official set for next weekend. He will be an early enrollee and will be announcing his commitment at the end of October. I think for Purdue to pull this off they need to get him back on campus. Preferably with Bell or Weaver. Wandale is going to be a star. I think Purdue just offers a quicker pathway and as good of a system as any in the country tailor made to maximize his talent.

We do need to get him back on campus. I think he could go to any of his top 5 schools. It isn't gonna be easy to get him but we have a chance here.

"Robinson told the Lexington Herald-Leader on Sunday that Nebraska is the leader in his recruitment, but that could change."

It will change if Purdue can beat them on their home turf.

Purdue 34 Nebraska 21.
Our defense covers the spread offense in enough 3 and outs to allow our offense to get the lead before halftime and maintain it throughout the game.

I think the outcome of the Nebraska games plays exactly zero part in his decision. With the decision coming as early as it is, I don’t think Nebraska’s record matters either.

Kentucky concerns me the most. They have a simalarly ranked class (although Purdue’s class currently has way more upside IMO). They are still in play for Weaver as well with a home state advantage. Not to mention they are coming off a big win against a ranked team and are ranked themselves. Kentucky also has a very easy path. If they beat Georgia, they legit would have a shot at making the final four. On the other hand, @Missouri, @Tennesee, and @A&M could be challenging. They could just as easily end up with four losses. Likely they split and end up with 2 losses (unless the wheeles fall off of course).

The advantage for Purdue? Immediate impact at WR and DE. Purdue is in the spotlight with their offense/Moore and shown the willingness to give freshman the reigns. Robinson would be a real threat to break records at Purdue. That offense would be electric and they wouldn’t be able to cheat on Robinson because of Moore. For Weaver, he would likely start day one across from GK. Those two would terrorize QBs and be be part of one of the best front sevens in the nation. Couple that with the direction the offense is going, and that is something real special. Kentucky offers similar things, they are in a weak SEC and Purdue is in the Big West (Big Wisconsin for now). Kentucky has a stud RB in Snell who is a junior (but he could leave early?). Kentucky also has some talented young RBs as well that are getting playing time. Purdue has nothing ahead at the RB position or anything on his level.

I think Purdue’s offense needs to show out against Nebraska. Get to a huge lead early and put them away. Get big chunk plays and look fun and explosive on offense. You know he will be watching or at least paying attention. Again, the outcome should factor into it much, the offense just has to showcase what Purdue can do.

Looking at what lies ahead for Kentucky, Purdue could really help itself by winning the next 5 games before Robinson’s decision (giving them a win over O$U and MSU). I think 3 out of the next 5 will be the minimum if Purdue wants to make a bowl, and I would love to see this team right back for a bowl.

Recruiting is interesting to follow . . . until you run into this.

This is why we can't have nice things . . .

:p
Very true.

I looked at 247Sports, and they have had a couple of people pick Ohio State in the last couple of days, which they also have Ohio State leading at 64%, and he is visiting there on October 6th. You have not seen them mentioned in this thread. I think it will go down toward the end of the season before he makes a decision, so it should give us plenty to discuss along with David Bell, Weaver and Grant.
