Still not seeing many lines for this game?
I anticipated being about 7 point dogs.

Prediction:
Heart says
Purdue 28-27

Head says
Maryland 34-24

I wonder if there's no line until it is known whether their QB is going to play or not? The site I use for lines has nothing.

This is a huge game for Purdue!
Believe it or not, if we win...we could get to 6. Illinois, NW and IU are possible wins.
Maryland wont take us seriously, so we have a chance!

This game has the ingredients of an upset. Maryland is 3-0 and just had a bye week. Will it be hard for the Maryland coaching staff to get their team to focus on Purdue over the last two weeks? Maybe. After all, Purdue has been awful over the last few years; it should not be hard for Maryland to win. Hence, the Maryland team may not be getting up for this game and focusing.

Purdue, on the other hand, has to play their "A" game to win. This means limit turnovers / penalties and take advantage of breaks given to them.

Of course, Purdue and DH2 has let us all down in the past. But Purdue can win games in situations where their opponents are overlooking Purdue. This next game is one of those situations.

It's almost as if we as fans keep thinking, there has to be a time when DH2 gets Purdue to finally turn a corner and take a positive step when the opportunity is presented to them. In the past, Purdue has always laid a huge egg under DH2 when that chance came and you have to think at some point, it would just happen based on the number of chances. I'm at a wait and see and like I said earlier...my heart says Purdue but my head says Maryland based on the previous 3 1/2 years of experience from Purdue games.

The past three years would tell a sane person to be pessimistic about the team until proven otherwise but I will admit that this team is different. You can see the talent and execution are miles ahead of last year and the play calling on O and D is in another galaxy when compared to the first 3 years. All I can say with confidence is the team won't quit this year. They actually look like they have confidence and positive attitudes which imo is the first key to winning ball games.
Will all of this translate into wins or a win over Maryland? I have no clue. Regardless I am picking Purdue in this one with my heart AND my head
Purdue 37
Maryland 27

My guess is Maryland will win, something along the lines of 35-21.

Like Purdue, the Terps have played underwhelming competition so far. Unlike Purdue, they're undefeated.

Maryland scores a lot of points and averages over 200 rushing yards per game. So Purdue's defense will face a major test.

Looking over their schedule, I don't expect Maryland to look past Purdue. They don't have many gimmes left.

I'm exactly in the same place. But I'm legitimately excited for 3:30 on Saturday to find out. That's progress, right?

Maryland 45-16. Maryland is ready after squeaking past UCF and they expose our defense. Offense sputters for 3 FGs in the red zone and one punt from inside the Terps 30yd line for a net 10yds. We score a meaningless TD in the closing minutes. Hazell sees improvement and promises to share more after reviewing film.

In all seriousness Purdue should be 3-0. If Blough throws half the interceptions he did we beat Cinncy. If they turn the ball over 38-10 Maryland. If they somehow manage to limit the turnovers 31-28 Purdue.

I find that comment totally "Off the Wall". I'm not saying Maryland will win, I'm not saying you guys can't win. What I'm saying is I would be shocked and dumb-founded if the Terps don't take you seriously! After 5 years of us having a "joke" of a coaching staff! at Maryland, I don't think Durkin's boys could or would not overlook "the Little Sisters of the Poor" as well as you guys. You guys being also in the Big Ten and the Terps being at home (Homecoming!) is a Big factor.

If we get beat, it's because we'll kill ourselves (fumbles, penalties, and/or interceptions). Our QB, even though with a lot of heart and guts, more likely belongs in a Div.III school, and more probably a mediocre JC!

You actually, might be in big trouble if you stop us "cold" in the first quarter or intercept a couple (heaven forbid a few) of early passes by Hills. That's because his backup (Piggy!) might go and drive you guys nuts! He only a freshman, but he's capable of driving any team nuts. If course being a freshman, who knows?

Good luck the rest of your games (not us)! I don't know your schedule, but knock off Meyer or Harbaugh, or even better -- KILL PS! - PEDOPHILE STATE!!!!!!

I would be ok with Purdue losing to Harbaugh or Meyer this year!

More than a few people saw this coming. We are what we are and nothing has changed in 3+ years.
