They should be a 2 seed in my opinion, but it may come in as a 3 which was their seeding last year. I'm not sure it makes a substantial difference either way.
Purdue looks like a team that is pretty set until the Sweet 16, but their struggles against those top 7-8 teams will make a breakthrough tricky.
Volleyball is predictable, not likely to see a 1-2 seed in the regions not make the sweet 16, usually of the 16 seeds usually 15 make the sweet 16 round.
Just looked funny in the semantics. I figured that's what you meant, but you hear "8 seed" and you think Utah State in the tournament last year that Purdue played in the 2nd round.
First and second rounds in Holloway on Dec 5&6. First round vs Western Michigan, second round vs winner of Loyola of Illinois vs BYU.
I was a little off, 13 sounds a little low, sort of sucks that they got to play a 1 in the sweet 16 but they’d have to play them in the round of 8. Anyways, first two first, BYU is good.
I'm surprised it wasn't a 3 seed, but being the 13th overall seed in the bracket with last 1 seed may not be that much different. We should have a nice following in Louisville assuming we get there.
What I read was that the regional locations are not determined as of yet. Is it a matter of the top seed getting it automatically? Does the fact that the Final Four is in Louisville matter? They shouldn't get that much advantage, right?
