Thank you! I love Beilein. He is a straight-up guy, always has great things to say about Purdue and Painter. Paid Hammons a lot of compliments during this session, too.
Agreed. He knows his stuff and seems like a really nice guy. I enjoyed his talk about the soft press into a hard trap that Iowa used against us. He said Matt would have that figured out going forward... I hope he is right.
Beilein is awesome. Polar opposite of Izzo.
I'll admit to being biased, but Beilein has to be impossible to hate. I mean he's just a nice guy and proof you don't need to be an a-hole to be a good coach.
he's been coaching for 37 years and this is his 8th season at Michigan. He's already won 2 Big Ten titles and been to the Final Four. I suspect it is kinda unlikely you will grow to hate him at this point. I mean he barely yells at refs, doesn't yell at the players on the court, and doesn't make excuses to the media after the game. He's just a friendly, nice guy.
I don't dislike Bo Ryan. Sure it's irritating when he's beating your team and he's getting every call in Madison and then one goes against him and he acts like just got shot. At the end of the day though that's all part of the game and I respect him as a coach and person. I don't dislike Matta either.
The reasons I dislike Izzo have nothing to do with Purdue. I just can't respect anyone who would allow some of the things in his program that he has.
