Yeah, I think so.
Vandy has lost to a tough Dayton team, Kansas, and Baylor...not one of those is a bad loss; those are three good teams.
I have a feeling that, if Purdue wins this game, at the end of the season, this would be one of Purdue's better wins of the season.
Your points are exactly why I think the rankings right now mean very little. Vandy is a prime example of a team that is unranked in one poll that could be top 10 by seasons end.In addition, all of them were close losses. Their 3 losses are by a combined 14 points with their loss vs. Kansas by 7 being the biggest "deficit" (they were beating Kansas at halftime).
And with your point on end of season status, keep in mind Vandy is in the SEC. Kentucky isn't amazing this year and they are your only SEC team that's really a top 15 team at this point. You have a couple other decent teams that are fringe top 25 like Texas A&M and South Carolina, but if Vandy keeps it up - they should be sitting "pretty" at the end of the season...

I would add that VU held double digit leads in all three of those losses. We could be 10-0 just as easily as we are 7-3. It's been a frustrating season to say the least. We are currently without our NBA 4 man (Luke Kornet) and a really good freshman guard (Cam Justice) and we just haven't played well many times this year.
I think Purdue wins tonight, but am excited to watch.
