We are coming up in September. Flying into Chicago, last year when we played in South Bend. There were Party busses that went from Chicago to South Bend and back on game day. Do y’all do anything like that? Thanks for any help

Highly unlikely. At least not from Chicago. Anything that is done of this nature is probably private and not available to the public. Not out of snobbery, just mostly because there isn't large scale interest in this. I think that and the fact that the drive from S. Bend to Chicago is about 45 minutes shorter play a factor here.

There are shuttle buses that run from O'hare to West Lafayette and back. EAC and Reindeer shuttle both have consistent schedules. Expect to pay around $70 each way pp. Also, best to book ahead of time to guarantee a seat.

If flying into Indy, then Lafayette Limo is also a possibility.

Lafayette/Nashville is definitely at about the break-even point for driving -v- pain in the backside of modern flying.

Both Chicago ORD and Midway are nearly 2 hrs 20 min to West Lafayette, IN
Indianapolis Intl Airport is 1 hr 15 min. If you want to cut down the drive time, choose Indianapolis Intl airport.
As someone else suggested, driving might be easier from Nashville when you have to consider security checkpoint clearance, car rental, etc roundtrip. If is almost 1:1 driving vs. flying from Nashville, TN.
If by chance you know any John Purdue Club members that are tailgating on the golf course, party with them and use designated driver or Uber around town and enjoy.

We win by 52.. go away

Kidding lol.. just imitating butthurt fans like those on the Indiana, Illinois and MWC boards ... oh, and gladeskat and everyone on the NU boards, except that they will add that no matter what the score is, you are their butler

I second the fly into Indianapolis motion if you are definitely going to fly. You can make the drive in under 6 hours from campus to campus.

If you don't want to put wear and tear on your car, do a rental from your local airport and return at the same location. I have a coworker that does this regularly for his trips back home to Lousiana, costs him $50 for a long trip with no wear on his car. Probably cost you a little more than that. But it's another suggestion.

If your aim is just to come to the game and visiting Chicago is not of importance I'd drive. It's a pretty easy run on 65 and the time would be less than air travel time by a large margin.

Lafayette Limo has a buses that bring your group from either O'Hare or Indy.

Unless you are looking for a longer bus ride, I highly recommend the Indy airport over O'Hare. O'Hare historically has the nation's most delays/cancellations and Indy has got to be the easiest airport to get around in.

Drive it will be overall easier than driving with the hassle at the airports. It is interstate all the way.

Vandy fan emphasized " Party Bus" he is looking to spend weekend drinking in Chicago and drinking further all day Saturday on a bus as well as at the game--- he has zero interest in driving anywhere. We should be recommending best Bloody Mary bar

Or asking the Vandy fan if we can join on the bus. Either way.

Maybe he should save his money and stay in Nashville where he can safely watch the game in a sports bar and not have any road time. This is Purdue not Notre Drunk.

If you are coming from Nashville, it is quicker to drive than going to the airport, going thru security, landing in Chicago or Indy, renting a car and then driving to West Lafayette.
I agree with all of this, but....he said he was a Vanderbilt fan...not that he was coming from Nashville and yet all other posts assumed (perhaps right?) that he would be coming up from Nashville. ;)

By the way, interesting side bar on optimism. Most of the Vandy fans on one forum I saw have them winning .. some of the rationale includes how.. playing Georgia a week prior will help them.

I know I’d love for Purdue to play a mid big ten level opponent right after playing Michigan? Whaaa....
