Late arriving to this one. Looks/sounds like Utah is beating us across the board: Utah +9 from the FT line, +5 second chance pts, +4 fastbreak pts. Both teams shooting well.
And it looks like she only played 12 minutes. 17 pts on 77.8% shooting. Those are Dakota numbers.
Final Utah 81-68. Never mounted a challenge in the 4th quarter. Hard to draw too many conclusions with only the Utah radio call to judge but sounded like a really disappointing effort to me against our first major-conference opponent of the season.
Our schedule isn't the strongest this season. Can't afford too many losses.

Thought maybe when they got it down to 4 we might do it, but faded. Road is tough; we are young; Utah not bad, barely lost to Alabama. I am not surprised at the loss, just wanted it to be closer which it was for awhile. Hard to judge team when you only see the score on Gamecast.
USC game I suspect will be very tough. Hawaii's home court. Marist always a decent team. Hope we can get some.

Eh. Everyone we play can't be a tough team or we're just not very good ourselves. At last check, none of these teams are ranked.

Utah totally outclassed and dominated Purdue. Worst game Clarissa has played so far, she was awful. Huff 6'3 forward was a monster and continually beat Purdue down the court for easy layups. I was shocked. I did like the play of Kiestler the little time she was in the game, she has a nice jump shot and it's good to see her back, but Sharon barely played her. This team next season will have 8 backcourt players and 6 frontcourt players, It's a very guard oriented team now, and teams with great front court players like Utah will dominate them.
One good thing is that freshmen become sophomores, and sophomores become Juniors and Juniors (Kiestler) become Seniors. This is an extremely young team and in 2 years should hopefully be a very good competitive team.
And they have that top St. Louis forward coming in And maybe others

We should be getting more strong Indiana players. I just noted that Michigan recruited a 5 star from Carmel and a 4 star from Noblesville. We can't be the program we should be until we begin attracting these sorts of IN kids again.
Gotta hire Geralds. Can’t let her leave town. With Coach Vs health. She should hire Katie with the expectation of taking over.
If Coach Versyp were planning to leave that would make sense and if Morgan Burke were still AD, well, we know he loved his succession plans. I have seen no indication that she plans to leave or that her health has caused any serious issues with her ability to perform her job.
I believe you are right though. Gearlds will be a great coach when she comes up to this level.
