Carsen starting 0-4 from the field...his poor shooting is totally surprising. Really feeling like he is placing too much pressure in himself to score bunches of points instead of letting the game come to him. Hopefully his scoring comes around in terms of being more efficient. If that happens, he could drop 25 in a hurry.
Looks like the outside shooting has come around for Cline and Mathias as they have both hit multiple threes in the first. Vince with 5 boards and 7 points...Swiss Army Knife!
Maybe I've missed something the last four years...but is PJ's real name Lasalle? Because of this board's propensity to make inadvertent nicknames, I immediately thought it had to be a mistake and he shall forever be named Lasalle!

Cline (12), Sasha (12), and Mathias (10) in double figures...imagine if Boogie had hit his shots (I think his shorts are to blame).

Haas struggling a bit but it appears Purdue is ok going outside in today by hitting 11 threes midway through the 3rd.
It takes real dedication to be up before 4am in the morning to follow boxscore updates, with no live stream, against UAE.
I posted a link to a great story on PeeWee Junior on my twitter . I am a basketball junkie but maybe just old PeeWee PJ's dad was an excellent pg for Ball State he also played Indiana all stars with Glen Robinson and Allen Henderson . Having a son who randomly begins wandering the house looking for you at 2:30am along with what I can only imagine is as close to a hurricane Indiana can possibly have kept me awake through the first half. Also, the game went incredibly fast and the 3rd quarter was over before I went back to bed at 4:05.
Always a possibility when playing a team from that part of the world.
Looking at scores and stats from other games...looks like the best teams are USA, Canada, Finland, Germany, and Estonia. More than likely USA and Estonia get out Group C.
Also to note, USA only had 6 TO's in the second half. I think that is more than ok...although ideally you want your total to be under 10 for a game.
