Purdue three-star defensive line target Jerrion Nelson visited West Lafayette today along with fellow Missouri native and current Purdue center commitment Dylan Powell, who's working Nelson on Purdue's behalf.

Nelson did not commit today, he said via text.

(We expect to have an update from Nelson tomorrow, as he said he will call when he gets back to Missouri, though I have to admit that storyline doesn't always end well for us.)

Anyway, something to note: Iowa has five defensive line commitments already and we have it on good authority is done as of now at the position, meaning Nelson's other Big Ten offer is probably no longer there, more or less.

He does also have Iowa State, Bowling Green and Toledo, among others, but we'd think that Purdue is looking pretty good to him right now. He has said he wants to visit all his favorites before committing, and he's now been to Purdue and Iowa. Unless he took another visit last week we don't know about, then that leaves three more to take.

Remember: Nelson is the recruit who's drawn to Purdue's restaurant and hotel management program, too, so that might work in its favor here also.
