Ever since we got thumped by VCU at the United Center, I feel its a cursed floor for us. I've heard the shooting background takes awhile to get used to.

eh, even when we had Keady and now w/ Painter, seems like we are always lackadaisical in Tourney games except that Washington Huskie contest.

I remember feeling really lucky to have a business meeting in Chicago some time in the late 90's when Purdue was to play UK in the UC. Excited to get good tickets only to watch us get absolutely killed. Don't like that play!

Let's go Purdue......

Overcome the refs, non-believing fans and win this thing.

I still believe we win this game!

BTFU!

The United Center is very cavernous. It's not like the more modern of modern day arenas.

Tentative > lackadaisical imo. That's what I think of with Keady's teams. I want/hope/think Painter promotes an aggressive approach rather than a passive, play not to lose one. This team needs JO, Hammons and Davis to lead the way and show the others how to play with confidence.

I think its a bit blown out of proportion. Winning in the NCAA tournament is half luck of the draw. Look at Butler - they didn't have great teams and went to back to back Final Fours. Who would have ever thought that? Some of it has to do with draws - some with bad luck, like your best player having the flu.

I certainly don't think back to that Elite 8 game vs. Wisconsin and think "we were so tentative" - when you get to those kind of games, it's 2 teams that are both playing their hearts out. You can only have 1 winner.

Totally agreed.

The notion of a "curse" --- Bambino/ billy goat/United Center-- whatever --- is nothing more than a lame rationalization by sportswriters/fans/fanbases who lack either the honesty or the intelligence to accept four simple words:

We. Weren't. Good. Enough.

Even though it was built in the middle of the Bulls 6 titles I view more of a hockey stadium where basketball is played. Seats just over 21k for hockey and 23k for basketball. Will probably never happen but would be cool to see Bulls get their own arena geared towards basketball like Conseco.

I am heading to the United Center for today's game against Bucky. I will do my best to remove the curse!
