The basketball twitter accidentally tweeted this picture out of the uniforms they're going to sport tomorrow in honor of the 3-peat. They quickly deleted it. I managed to get a screen shot.

The tweet read... "Pumped to be wearing these sweet throwbacks today." Maybe they're shooting shirts like for Rick Mount night but hopefully their actual uniforms. They look good.

I love the nostalgia associated with those uniforms. However, I'm also a fan of the cowcatcher PURDUE on the front of the current jerseys. I think it's uniquely Purdue & that it should be the way PURDUE is written on all the uniforms. Find a way to mesh the cowcatcher PURDUE with today's shorts & I'm sold!

There was an article in the Washington Post recently about how shorter shorts are becoming more popular among basketball players and how companies manufacture them too long. Nike is obviously guilty of this - even Isaac's shorts look too long and he's freaking 7'2".

I noticed Howard and some others with them distinctively above the knee before, and now with lebron it will accelerate the change I assume.
It does look weird when our guys roll them up, hopefully they can just order diff sizes next year.

I just have to bump this up. I am fan boying so hard about those uni's the team looked so badass in them. I really hope them bring them out against either Maryland or Mich st. when they come to Mackey. I loved the loose fitting look. For whatever reason it just made the guys look tougher and stronger.

It's nothing that Purdue can control. Nike makes one blanket short that is changed up for each school looks wise. Purdue can't ask Nike for a shorter short - it's either all schools have them or none do.

Nike and Under Armour make the same jerseys, just different colors/logos for football, basketball, etc. That's why Purdue's gold is the one it is - we can't have a custom gold color, Nike has a couple different "gold" colors that all teams that are Nike choose between. Our gold is literally the same exact gold as a Wake Forest, Vandy, etc.

I loved the unis, mostly because they reminded me of big dog. Never was a huge fan of the stripe on the shorts.

However, I've always disliked the cowcatcher. I really wish we could bring back the arched Purdue font. Classic look!
