This is not a long post as apathy had silenced the posting of most of the UConn football faithful. However, there are a few posts that deserve consideration, so here they are:

I dunno if anybody watched Purdue/Oregon St this weekend but Purdue is way better than -32 here. Purdue 52-7, and that’s generous to our side.

They are big and fast. We are small and slow - have them right where we want them!

Curious how many boilermaker fans make the trip. They can get front row seats for cheap.

Purdue and Purdue alone will determine the final score in this game.

Purdue Coach Brohm: “I know their guys would be energized and fired up and ready to play. They got a Big Ten opponent coming into their stadium. And when that happens, teams are ready to play." Lol. Yep. Just once I want to hear them say..."Ya know...they didn't look good last week. That QB is a turnover machine and the defense looks porous. Should be an easy win for us."

We need as many UConn FB fans as possible to show up for Purdue game on Saturday. If the team is unified behind Spanos, who knows what might happen!

We might hold them under 60.

8 years ago we probably woulda been favored by a decent bit. How far we’ve fallen.

Boilermakers barely beat Beavers. THEY didn't look good. I am not a gambler (excepting Saratoga) ... but there is no way we give 34. Respect Bell. But that QB isn't good. That line is sketchy for their level. And WE are playing ... for Fun.

It looks like nobody is there.

They are all out tailgating right up until kickoff. They’ll slowly fill in.

I think we should start playing 2 less home games a season.

Purdue brought their band? Must be nice to have that B10 money.

Worst teams in the history of college football!

This game is going to be two teams fighting to lose, isn't it?

Watching our two fan bases who only know pain and loss in their program commenting on this thread is hilarious!

A good throw by a UConn QB! Been a couple of years since I’ve seen that.

That was a nice return until we ran into our own dude.

OL still looking Swiss cheese on runs!

We're not putting up any points but at least we're kinda doing some stuff. That's fun.

Lmao did we really just have our true freshman kicker attempt a 50 yarder as his first ever FG? I don’t care if he was an All American in HS, that’s absurd!

Good thing we ran on 3rd and 7 to get into FG range down 14-0.

Imagine missing your dads funeral to get shit pumped by Purdue.

These guys couldn’t even tackle a high school team. This is so ****ing pathetic!

There would probably be a lot of people watching that ND game if it was on an actual channel.

Wait, did UConn just do a football thing?

Recovering our own fumble? That's a pretty low bar.

Hail Mary it! Why not?

I like thinking about going for it on 4th down. What do we have to lose? Very anti-Edsall, so I assume it's a good decision.

So Merrimack is up 35-14 on Holy Cross right now.

We softened them up.

Damn, that’s going to hurt our ranking.

Holy Cross made our DBs look like high schoolers, and they’re getting throttled by another FCS team today!

Can Purdue cover the spread in the first half?

Looking at these "tackles" and wondering why the hell our defensive coordinator was the one promoted to interim head coach.

Well our offensive coordinator doesn't even call plays on offense.

Biggest disaster I’ve seen in 20 years!

Haha at all you Purdue fans that thought your team was the worst team in this game!

I would not walk into the booth for a UConn game on any less than 5 beers.

Can we please score some points against an FBS opponent? 3 of them would be fine. Just something.

Apparently we didn't want to put up 3 pts. Would rather have the goose egg.

That was the most UConn ending ever.

UConn is seriously going to have to consider dropping to FCS or abandoning football altogether.

Purdue only scores 49 points today because they are bored by the 3rd quarter.

We do seem very concerned about giving up the big play on defense, so we play soft and tentative. Thing is, the result of this is we give up the big play. We are going to give up big plays against good teams no matter what we do, so let's at least play with some aggression and make some big hits. If you can't win, at least leave a mark.

There is nothing good to say. Purdue's last string of players were better than UConn's starters.

The first quarter felt good. Great weather. Excitement for the unknown. Actually outgaining the opponent after 1 quarter even though we were trailing by a touchdown. Then, the wheels fell off. And the chassis. And the steering wheel. I would have been ecstatic about only losing today by 21. But even setting the bar low isn't good enough. It's so hard to keep being irrational for this program...

And to think that Ohio State fans are more upset than UConn fans.
