Purdue was melting away a little bit with a 5-minute goose egg in the first half, but they kept playing defense and limited the spurt for IU to 9 points. That was huge, IMO. Had a chance to let it get away from them early, but they calmed down and executed like coach apparently told them to when the crowd got into it.
I was pretty surprised to see that level of poise in that stretch, and then again at the end of the game from a bunch of guys who'd played there once or never. Impressive.
