In Canada or here in the USA, SIX things causing fires we have absolute proof about....
1. Lack of forestry management.
2. Humans moving into forested areas not allowing natural fire suppression. This means natural fires can't burn underbrush and thus too much of it causes fuel for bigger fires.
3. Lightning
4. Drought
5. Arson...25-85% of all fires of all wildfires in USA. 167,000 last year.
6. Volcanic activity or meteor activity.

One thing we think might cause fires, but we have no absolute proof about .....
1. Climate change.

Keep your head in the sand. It belongs there.

Let's suppose climate change us true.
1. How much did the Dem's last climate bill lower the global temperature?

2. Truth is China, India are two of the biggest carbon emmitters in the world. Until you tame that beast our efforts are meaningless.

3. Finally, because this is a global problem, the USA could go 100% wind & solar....and it would not effect global temps at all.

1. Which bill? I thought they were all gunned down or watered down by the Republicans.

2. Not true, and kinda ironic that you titled this thread to be "TRUTH about fires," SMH. China is #1, US #2 at about half of China, and India only #3 at about half of US. But if you look at it on a per capita basis, US is about 2x China (15.52 vs 7.38), and India is tiny (1.91).

3. How pathetic loser mentality! US has long been a leader in solving worldwide problems. As a leader, even if you can't solve the problem alone, you set an example. You lead by example. You encourage others to join you for the cause. You give others incentives to follow you. You inspire them. As Gandhi says, "Be the change you want to see in the world." Stop the excuses. Until US takes it seriously, all the other countries can use your excuse, "Look, even the US, as one of the worst carbon emission country on a per capita basis and the most advanced country in the world is only giving a half-ass effort in battling climate change, why should I bother?"

#1....if you don't know which bill, it kinda lowers your overall credibility.....by alot! LOL. 🤡

#2 You have reading problems.
I never said they were the 2 biggest polluters, you somehow read that. Quote..."China, India are two of the biggest carbon emmitters in the world.". Of the biggest, does not mean #1 & #2.

#3 No proof, our actions would lower the world temp at all. But it's a free country if people want EVs, solar array, wind have at it. Kinda like it myself. But wouldn't make it law for someone else to pay for it...as there is no proof any action would lower global temps. None.

Depending on the measurables, It takes decades or perhaps centuries to see the effects. Since the concept of climate is long term. The depleted ozone layer has improved drastically since we eliminated ozone harming substances since the late 70s.

Interesting.....what happened to world temp during the shut down?

Way less CO2 as most stayed home. Less cars, less flights, less of everything. They documented cleaner air in most places.

But about those temps during COVID shutdowns......

TEMP WENT UP. Hmmm?
