This is just pathetic.

I don't care if this person criticized you. You do NOT respond to every last person who says something bad about you by upping the insult. He also added that he thought the mother "wasn't allowed" to speak.

The mother said after the speech that she was afraid she'd be too emotional to speak and decided not to and they planned his speech together.

But yeah, he's so supportive of our troops!

And of course he also added he's sacrificed A LOT.

"Paul Rieckoff, the founder and CEO of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, a non partisan group with close to 200,000 members, called Trump's comparison of his sacrifices with those of someone like Khan "insulting, foolish and ignorant."

"For anyone to compare their 'sacrifice' to a Gold Star family member is insulting, foolish and ignorant. Especially someone who has never served himself and has no children serving," Rieckoff said. "Our county has been at war for a decade and a half and the truth is most Americans have sacrificed nothing. Most of them are smart and grounded enough to admit it."

I try to be open minded and respect opposing political viewpoints and their candidates, but this man is the most arrogant, narcissistic, and tone-deaf individual. You don't have to love Hillary Clinton. You don't even need to vote for her - but I don't understand how people can stomach voting for this man.

Easy because he's not "that b#tch"

Let's go interview the survivors of the 13 soldiers murdered by Army Major Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood during his jihad tantrum in 2009. Let's see what they think about moslems in the US Army.

I'll do that...why don't you go ask the Soldiers who are alive today like the ones that Muslim CPT lead when he sacrificed his life for them.

I guess you'd rather those Soldiers had died so you wouldn't have "moslems" in the Army.

I would prefer 13 soldiers alive at Fort Hood and no moslems in the Army with weapons in hand.
So you'd trade that CPTs PLT for the 13 Soldiers at Fort Hood then.

You'd trade the other Soldiers/Sailors/Marines/Airman who are undoubtedly alive because of the actions of other Muslims who served in the US military.

All because of one Muslim?

Thankfully, the rest of us in the military aren't nearly as cowardly as you are.

I didn't trade anything. Here's what i said: "I would prefer 13 soldiers alive at Fort Hood and no moslems in the Army with weapons in hand."

if there were "no moslems" in the Army then MORE than 13 Soldiers would be dead. Pretty simple math you don't appear able to calculate.

Well, with 241 dead Marines after the barracks bombing in Beirut, 19 airmen dead after the barracks bombing in Saudi, 17 dead sailors in the attack on the USS Cole, and 13 soldiers killed by a moslem at Fort Hood, I just have a hard time thinking that our troops will be safer with more moslems around.

More than 6100 Muslims have served in the Armed forces since 9/11, 14 have died in service to their country. That you can't respect them and want them out of the Army speaks volumes about your ignorance. Again, it's just mind-boggling that someone who purports to have risen to the rank of O6 and served overseas could be this narrow-minded, but my guess is that the world and the Army passed you by long, long ago.

So even though the first three had nothing to do with "moslems" in the Army (and the silliness of your inability to call them Muslims is par for the course for a racist like yourself), you are just going to go ahead and count them anyways, because I mean what's the difference between a Muslim serving his or her country proudly and honorable and a suicide bomber/attacker...all the same huh? No difference between CPT Khan, who gave his life for your sleezebag self and the rest of us and this country, and a suicide bomber right?

It's embarrassing that he was ever, allegedly, an Army Officer.
I apologize on behalf of my comrades.

I have this vision of him as the same as the CO of the diving school from Men of Honor. Old, cast into a meaningless job, secluded from human contact, probably lonely. It's kind of a sad vision, but it's about the only thing I can think of that would lead to the level of hate and ignorance he displays here on a daily basis.

Nevermind, I was thinking of the Gunny, not the CO.

Spot-on characterization.

Well, I have two doctorates from Purdue (DVM '72, PhD '92) and I'm board certified in Preventive Medicine. My AOC was 64B and I worked primarily as a food safety epidemiologist during the last ten years of my career.

Toughest job I had was as chief of food safety for the Subsistence Directorate at DLA-Troop Support in Philly. The SD bought all the food for all of the services, worldwide, and if anything was delivered "distressed" my office would be called for disposition. I had 21 people working under me and we did this 24/7/365.

As an example, the Sixth Fleet would make a port call in Haifa and have a contract for 5,000 gallons of fresh milk at 40 degrees F. It gets delivered at 46F. What should they do?

Being smart and being a douche are not mutually exclusive.

Give the Dems credit. They are exploiting perhaps Trump's biggest weakness: firing back before thinking thru his response. He is making it easy for them to set him up and make him look stupid. The speech by Mr Khan was very well planned and delivered with one goal and that was to attack Trump where he is weakest and it worked. Most of his speech was dedicated to attacking Trump. It could/should have focused on the diversity in our country but of course that was not the goal. Of course, running true to form, Trump missed a golden opportunity to make his own point. Now, of course. Mr Khan will be vetted. I'm sure there will be more to com.

What's there to vet? His son's story is known and documented in military history including his PH citation. The man's a legal advisor in Charlottesville, VA. If you're hoping he pops on a terror watch list or something, well, good luck with that.

Trump and others make it easy to attack along this line because they view ALL Muslims through the same lens. Democrats and everyone else would be foolish not to expose it. Trump apparently thinks there are enough buygreekbonds-like people in this country to win the election on their backs alone. Nah.

Based on his rhetoric, Trump deserves to be attacked in such a manner. It's pretty funny to hear him whine about it when his followers are talking about how he's just going to summarily dismantle Hillary. I think he's going to be too busy defending himself to do so, and when he does, the whole debate will boil down into name calling and other sophomoric crap like the Republican debates did. I'm soooooooooo excited.

Hopefully Gary Johnson gets on the stage.

to be honest, if he were in charge of the food, I think I'd stick to MREs.
I was responsible for food safety and QA for ALL subsistence including operational rations - UGRs, FSRs, MREs, etc. The Army Veterinary Corps had 3-4 food inspectors working in each of the three MRE assembly plants.

Jill Stein is a doctor, and she's a wackadoo. Waving degrees around isn't really credibility with intelligent people.

And anyone saying "moslems" should be ignored.

I'm not into your politically correct Gibberish. I call them moslems because that it what they are.

a follower of the religion of Islam.
adjective

One of Trump's former advisers says he's part of the Muslim Brotherhood, then again he says Huma Abedin is as well, you know, the one married to a Jewish man.

Well, that's a big loss for this board. @Noodle was one of the best posters on this board. That we got you in exchange just makes the loss that much worse.
Depends upon your perspective. If you're a moslem-loving knee-jerk cracker who insists that no-go-zones do not exist, I'm sure Noodle was a great loss to you.

Then again, Noodle on the IU board just know said he might not vote for Trump. Soooo...but yes Noodle is way, way, way up on the list compared to BGB.

Classic buygreekbonds: (1) make racist, hate-filled statement; (2) complain about people playing the hate card.
Gr8, moslem is not a "race". It is a quasi-religious cult of medieval goons that inspires young, male followers to kill infidels for Allah and be rewarded with an houri of 72 virgins and a handful of young boys in perpetual freshness.

So you might want to call me a religious bigot but I am not a racist. You're being brainwashed by qaz.

Ok, you win. You're just a religious bigot. But ignorant hate is ignorant hate. I wouldn't take that as somehow an improvement.
