As most of you have probably seen, we got our first commit from #95 (247 ranking) Trevion Williams. I've seen he's listed around 6'9 250 (6'8 depending on the site).
The similarities between him and CS are noteworthy. ( Most think that's why he chose Purdue.)
He is definitely a around the rim type of player.
He has some decent handles in the open court. ( I would say better than Swanigan.)
He has a pretty impressive wingspan (as did Biggie.
His vertical is very average, but when he gets world class training by Josh Bonotal, I could see him getting his vertical into the 30's. (his athletic upside is underrated)
Him and Biggie both are rebounding machines, and Williams definitely uses his body to gain position on rebounds.
What I saw Williams do a bit differently around the basket at this point in his development is he has better post moves than CS did, while Swanigan used brute strength to gain position and get a basket.
I also believe TW is more athletic and has a higher ceiling athletically than Biggie, but only time will tell.
TW is definitely a great passer, some of those passes reminded me of a PG!
And by no means am I saying Trevion Williams will be an All-American player and a better player, however with the right work ethic, he could be an All-B1G type of player.
Welcome to the family Trevion, the sky is the limit for you!
