Need to go hard after him. Averaged 18 in the Big 12 as a sophomore. And yes he’s from IndyNijel Pack from Kansas State just entered. Indy lad I think.
STOP THE PRESSES!Nijel Pack from Kansas State just entered. Indy lad I think.
Could this be the one with the Indy and Weber connection?STOP THE PRESSES!
Phinisee’s stats look exactly like a PG that Painter would want. Whole lot of nothing. I almost guarantee we get him.Does this mean Purdue offered Phinisee? I haven’t heard anything about him since entering the portal

He’s my #1 guy to go after! I believe Painter liked him back in high school but I don’t think Purdue had the room to really go after him.Nijel Pack from Kansas State just entered. Indy lad I think.
I don’t know who if anyone we have offered. Also, is it an offer like when they are coming out of high school? Or is this like to divorcees getting married?Does this mean Purdue offered Phinisee? I haven’t heard anything about him since entering the portal
Ha yep! It is Nijel. Nigel sounded too British. Is it Nijel or Nigel? It says Nijel on Verbalcommits. I want to pronounce it right when I call him.
And a 43.5% 3-point shooter...And a 84.5% free throw shooter. Oh, Mr. Weber, remember the good old days at Purdue?STOP THE PRESSES!
Yeah, maybe he helped steer him to K State. He’s my #1 guy to go after! I believe Painter liked him back in high school but I don’t think Purdue had the room to really go after him.

If he was 6’-3” and 210lbs, he’d be in the NBA already.awww man.....I was hoping Pack was going to be a 6'3 210 explosive athlete. Turns out he's 5'10, 165....
Wonder if Painter will shy away from another sub-6 guard.
There is probably less hesitancy after seeing how his game translates to the next level than there would be straight out of highschool and having to guess if it will translate at that height.awww man.....I was hoping Pack was going to be a 6'3 210 explosive athlete. Turns out he's 5'10, 165....

Boom harder, Boomer. So you're willing to toss all PU guards away to bring in two others who have shit on their previous team and coaches? I simply don't trust players who do that because it's an indication of "It's all about me" players.
Do you always take 2 inches and 20 pounds off of every guard? Done it to IT, Smith and now Packawww man.....I was hoping Pack was going to be a 6'3 210 explosive athlete. Turns out he's 5'10, 165....

That's very true and I totally agree. Just wouldn't be thrilled with your starting PG basically PJ Thompson size and his freshman back up about IT size. There is probably less hesitancy after seeing how his game translates to the next level than there would be straight out of highschool and having to guess if it will translate at that height.
They do have him listed at 6, 180, so maybe he's grown some.Do you always take 2 inches and 20 pounds off of every guard? Done it to IT, Smith and now Pack

You wouldn't like my thoughts on PJ......Funny you say that while at the same time, who wouldn't love to have PJ again. Tried to replace him and he just kept beating out people by being the steady PG we needed, not flashy but always dependable.
Assuming Pack vs IveyBlind reaction which stat line would you rather have leading a team?

A couple 7 footers and a 6'10 guy to shore up the rebounding difference.depends on what the other 4 players looks like.
Wouldn't disappoint me if Painter got away from the low block 7 footers (unless they can shoot from 15-17 feet). Having a immobile big on the low block who can't shoot from outside isn't the recipe or success in the tourney.A couple 7 footers and a 6'10 guy to shore up the rebounding difference.

Also 84.5% foul shooter on no.1, but you also have to take into consideration that one played for a 14-17 team vs. a 29-8 team. Just saying.Blind reaction which stat line would you rather have leading a team?

I sincerely hope the question isn't whether you'd take Ivey or Pack? Also 84.5% foul shooter on no.1, but you also have to take into consideration that one played for a 14-17 team vs. a 29-8 team. Just saying.
Yeh, my question was to the guy who posted the two stat lines. If it's Ivey vs Pack, there's not even a discussion to be had.Actually I was talking about Pack. He has the 84.5% FT %. Number of foul shots taken would most likely favor Ivey.
I sincerely hope the question isn't whether you'd take Ivey or Pack?
I follow you...and agree. Now having both may be fun.Yeh, my question was to the guy who posted the two stat lines. If it's Ivey vs Pack, there's not even a discussion to be had.
I was saying last year that Painter needed to get someone from the portal to help Ivey. Big time error on Painter's part. We really needed another guard who wasn't one dimensional .I follow you...and agree. Now having both may be fun.
Yes and the commentators made a big deal that we had 0 points from the portal and Arkansas had 73%, Now, Arkansas already has a portal signee and three 5 star recruits signed. Whether I like the portal or not, it's the way it is, and the meek watchers could pay deeply if they don't do it.I was saying last year that Painter needed to get someone from the portal to help Ivey.
