Tourney teams from Indiana

This has been a pretty good year for college basketball fans in the state of Indiana. As of now there are four teams likely to make the NCAA tourney:

Purdue
Butler
Notre Dame
Valpo

Also, Ball St. and Ft. Wayne have an outside chance to win their league tournaments.

Maybe IUPUI, ISU, and Evansville can get on track in the next couple years. They all seem to have rising or at least respectable coaches.

Really solid year overall for the instate programs

Early in the year, I thought Indiana could legitimately get to 7 and maybe 8 teams in the tourney. IU has obviously fallen off and I thought Evansville would be strong after their 25 win season last year (where they were inexplicably left out of the tourney). Once I saw IPFW beat IU, I thought they had a solid chance as well. Shame since I'm not sure when Indiana has had more than 7 (I know a number of years ago there were 7 teams that got in).

It is hard to believe the state could get 7 teams in the tourney, but if you add Ball St., Ft. Wayne, and just one of the "others" there you have it!

That would make 8. It could happen. Not this year though.
For a small state there is a lot of BB potential. 10 D I's with Ft. Wayne, IUPUI any DI's I'm missing?

Aren't there top 3 scorers seniors?

2 of their top scorers are Seniors. They return a lot in Persons and return their two top assist guys, along with their top rebound guys in Sophomore Moses and Frosh Teague.
