Maybe Matt Painter knew exactly what he was getting when Edwards arrived last season, but at the time the buzz about the No. 88-ranked freshman in the country was not yet appreciable. That should be changing right about now, if it hasn't already. As a sophomore, Edwards is one of the best dual-threat scorers in the nation. Per hoop-math.com, Painter's star has come close to doubling his shooting percentage on 2-point jumpers in just one season.

Vincent Edwards needs more love for the way he is playing too. He was a man among boys against Nebraska and they are no slouch. Great shooting and crashing the boards the last few games.

Nice to see Carsen get some pub. He has really improved his game over this past year. Seems he has added a variety of refined moves going to the rim, his shooting skill has sharpened (as has his shot selection) and his defensive pressure as well.

With all the games he's played since the end of his freshman year he's already beyond the time for a sophomore slump. Plain on the U 19 team, the WUG and the regular season he's close to the end of mist junior seasons in PT.

Been saying since his first day on campus that he was going to be one of the best guards in Purdue history.
He's a combination of Willie Deane, E'Twaun and LewJack.
Will be lucky to keep him for 4 years.

i'm not buying the hype yet. He's put up big number against the cupcakes but he's struggled against the B1G. He's shooting 34% against the B1G and 5 of 22 from deep. I love the dude, but he's still a work in progress.
