Tom Coughlin

Or how about Frank Beamer he's 70, he's only been out of college game for a year, could build us into a solid program like he did at VT, or Barry Switzer, he's only 79 years old and was a great college coach with Oklahoma, or Tom Osborne since his political career stalled, bet he still has some fire in the 79 year old heart to get back into coaching, or how about Bobby Bowden, he's still 87 years young, or we could just roll Bear Bryant's corpse out on the sideline, I know he could get us 3 wins a season.

I wasn't hoping for a Coughlin hire, I'm on the Phillip Montgomery band wagon. I just wondered what others would think since ive seen posts for Tiller to come out of retirement and other teams like a Kansas-St have an older coach and still competitive.

I know he's 70 but interested in coaching if job is right. Question is would Purdue be the right job and would he be able to recruit?
I will agree with you as I was thinking about things while doing yard work last weekend and thought about Bill Walsh going back to Stanford after the 49ers. He was only 62 though- I thought he was much older.

See, now Philip Montgomery is a guy I can get behind. I love everything about the Baylor offense. And love how he's turned around Tulsa in his 2 years. Coughlin though, way past his prime.
