Yesterday there was a write-up saying that the (unstated) goal of next year's team is to make the Final Four.
Considering Purdue's lack of achievement in the NCAAT since Joe Barry Carroll helped lead Purdue to the Final Four, I can somewhat understand the goal of making the Final Four.
However, when you have a talented, deep, seasoned team, the goal should not be to make the Final Four. The goal should be to win the National Championship. Add Biggie to the current roster, and this Purdue team will be the deepest, and perhaps most talented team Purdue has put on the court in many years. There are players on the team that have won Championships in HS and come from winning traditions.
Half the battle of winning on the big stage is actually believing you can do it. Saying your goal is to make the Final Four is basically saying you don't think you can win it all.
