I'd like to offer my congratulations to Cub fans ... your century-plus of loyalty, although confounding to the many millions of Cardinal Nation like me, has finally paid off with a Series.
Yet, as a Still-Bitter Birdo who will never surrender rightful claim to the St. Louis native who rose to fame as Our Voice for a full quarter-century, (Harry Caray from 1944-1969), I must caution, as they say, "It don't mean a thing if you don't get that ring." (Same goes for Final Fours.)
And, as with the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland has historically gone out of its way to block "Chicago."
Political correctness be damned, I suggest surrounding the Indians and scalping their tickets there at all costs.
