It seems to me that the chance of Stevens coming back to coach IU would be much greater after next year than this. Even with the Celtics performing the way they are, I can't really see him leaving this year. It's likely they will be just as bad next year, thus increasing the chances of his departure. If Crean's going to be fired, it might be better this year than next. Though, this is all assuming you believe Stevens would be a great coach at IU. For me, I would be thoroughly disappointed if Stevens was announced as IU's next coach.
