Time for discussion?

Thought kids played hard and we win the game if we convert a few make able plays, of course if they shoot a decent free throw %, we lose going away. What concerns me:
In a loss, we have NO answer for 1 player
1st half momentum is instantly lost at the beginning of the 2nd half as Iowa mixes up its defensive look and we seem totally unprepared for this.
A half dozen designed plays after breaks/TOs by Iowa lead to layups/dunks for the Hawks.
Not giving up on this team at all because we do have talent, but I am fearing an early tourney exit if some things aren't corrected.

And to the people who doubt our talent or say we need the perfect matchup in the tourney I say phooie! We should be a matchup nightmare for other teams. We've got a player of the year candidate, a 7'2" man child with heart and skills, a talented 6'7" slasher, and are leading the BIG in 3 pt shooting % for christs sake! Let's utilize this talent and make some noise.

Only disagree that Minny loss was legit due to the fact that it resulted yet again from an inability to stop ONE guy...Minny had ONE guy that could beat Purdue, just as Iowa did, and in both cases, said guy did just that...which makes it inexcusable in my opinion in both instances.

got talent, but except for biggie, everyone else is inconsistent.

The coach never changes his team's basic defense. Sometimes the defense needs to be changed, especially when there are no "all-star" defenders on the team. There were plenty of moments for this to occur in the first and second halves. It didn't. CMP's rigidity hurts his teams.

Also, HC in love with white guy guards that are average athletes, probably because they remind him of himself. Coach plays one of them 30 MPG and sometimes plays both of them together for long stretches. That's not a good idea, especially at the end of close games, where they cannot create their own shots.

In this particular game, they settled for many too threes and did not attack the center of Iowa's zone. On the other side of it, Purdue shows no other looks besides man defense and any opposition with a pulse is capable of finding holes or openings in it after awhile.
