Theory on AJ.... Maybe Painter met with AJ after last season and laid out an improvement plan (pretty sure that is pretty much standard stuff). The improvement plan could have called for 10,000 jumpers and 20,000 free throws etc.....so maybe AJ didn't take it seriously and got to the start of the season and still needed 6,000 jumpers....IF that were the case maybe the day/date keeps moving cause they think he can finish up whatever is left but he either can't or doesn't want to put in the extra effort.
