1) If a person is able to get into the US illegally, whether that's by swimming across a river, coming on a raft or sneaking in packed into a semi trailer, do they automatically get the privilege of 'due process' before being deported?
2) In the previous scenario, if they came illegally, does it matter how long they're in the US before a deportation hearing?
3) if a person is apprehended on US soil immediately after crossing the border illegally, should the be immediately deported on the next plane/train/bus back to whatever country they entered from?
4) Can anyone who comes in illegally claim asylum? If so, should they get to stay in the US until their asylum hearing? Should they be detained or released until their hearing (which could take months or years).

A freebie. No, those claiming asylum don't automatically get put into the system. Some asylum seekers may get help from state or private programs, especially if they have children and serious medical problems.
