The national debt is actually close to $90 trillion, not $30 trillion

By the end of 2021, the federal government had $28.43 trillion in federal debt. However this does not include unfunded liabilities for future Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid payments, which come to another $60 trillion in debt. This is not the distant future. Social Security goes broke in 2037, Medicare goes bankrupt in 2026 and Medicaid's trust fund runs out of money in 2028.

Congress (both parties) stopped actually giving a sh** about the debt long ago. Now they only pay lip service and point fingers.
