The longer no named coach goes, the worse this may end up for Purdue.

If the ink is not dry on contract, we are still not considered a serious University. I thought announcement would have happened by kickoff, then post game, or later this evening. Tomorrow, would be surprising, but acceptable. Monday or after this b.s. gets ridiculous and reporters and fanbase will start calling to get updates which is ridiculous and unacceptable as 6 weeks has passed. Get this done! LSU and Texas only took only a few days. Actions speak louder than words. What is taking so long?

Maybe the coach has a game today? Schiano?

ISU's season isn't over yet. Spack wouldn't do that to his current players.

So hear me out...I know Strong hasn't got the wins and losses we absolutely want out of our next hire, but he does have the recruiting, or is that just being Texas, and getting recruits because of the school?

Huh? He was fired due to lack of wins/losses at Texas! Austin, TX which is both a desired city and an institution that lives and breathes football above Texas A&M. That state reveres football as much if not more than Hoosier state desires basketball. If you can't win there, your not a good coach. I for one do not want a Darrell Hazell part II.

The Miles comparison to Akers is pretty ridiculous but the Akers to Strong comparison however......

I hear you. Pretty much what I was thinking also, but didn't know if I was the only one seeing it that way. I guess trying to think outside the box, and seeing where Purdue may turn if neither of our top 2 choices take the job.

May also be interesting to note that Strong is owed over $10 million and that it goes down drastically if he takes a job. He may sit and wait it out for a year or two and then make a comeback as a DC at a mid-level or big program...ala Schiano.
