Although it makes me want to barf up my Thanksgiving dinner thinking about it requiring an upset to beat an iu football team (God, how far we've sunk.....), when was the last true upset in the Bucket game?

Was it the Hoeppner game at iu where they kicked a last second FG to win it? 3-4 years ago?

One of my favorites was when I was in school in early 90's, must have been '92, when we picked off a pass in the endzone to seal the win. I believe the PU DB was trying to return it for a TD and iu's QB tackled him by the facemask out of bounds along the iu bench. I think there was a pretty good brawl after that?
I remember we had a helluva celebration that night.

Trent Green was the IU QB!

What's funny is IU is going to extend Wilson.

A raise for winning only 2 conference games against the last place teams in each division.

Even better the B10 will allow IU to even play in a bow with only 5 Division 1 wins good thing they scheduled the weakest non conference schedule in D1. When does a 9 game Big Ten schedule start?

That progress at IU. A pink slip at Purdue.

IU beat Purdue on that fg in 2007.When IU won in overtime in 2010,it may have been an upsetI don't remember who was favored as both teams were bad..

1. I remember a big fight in Bloomington when Phipps was your QB. Even the bands fought when they both took the field at the same time after the game was over.

2. OOC SOS - technically, our rank was 83 (to your 57), still ahead of (surprisingly) S. Carolina, Flahduh State, Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Flahduh, Arizona, Rutgers, NC State and Kentucky.

Wilson will get extended based on how we played against the ranked teams in the league, not the record.
His leash is getting shorter, but he won't get fired even of we lose Saturday (IMO).

2010, I'm sure IU was underdog, but do not recall by how much. Chappell and Doss had big days to keep IU in it and finally win in OT. Jeff Thomas with a pick of Rob Henry in OT. Ewald with tieing and winning fg's. Slight upset.

'92 game was a slight upset for Purdue, but '89 and '86 were much more unexpected, painful losses for us IU fans. IU was probably 15-20 point favorites in both '89 and '86.

'81, Jim Young's last game at PU, in Bloomington, was definitely an upset for IU. IU was 2-8 coming in. PU was likely a double-digit favorite that day.

Here's to a good, clean game Saturday...AND hopefully no upset.
